Colors: Many colors, often white with other hues. Usually found in: Sri Lanka, Burma, Australia, India, United States, Madagascar Chakras represented: Third Eye, Crown Element: Wind Moonstones are a feldspar stone, with a hardness of 6-6.5. The stone was originally named after the blue and silver sheen of our moon. Moonstones have been used in Roman jewelry for about two thousand years, and even longer in Asia, In India, Moonstone has always been a sacred stone with a special significance for lovers.

Moonstone is a gem of the High Priestess, keeper of the feminine mysteries of the galaxies. In its reflected light we can project outwardly and observe the hidden truths that reside in the depths of ourselves, out of the lights of consciousnesses. Moonstone is a talisman of the inward journey, and meditation with a piece of moonstone can take one deep into the self. Moonstone is not only for women, however; it is of vital importance that all beings connect with their inner feminine to balance their energy and be their fullest embodiment.

Moonstone is a stone of mystery, and it's magical qualities have long been known to enhance psychic visions and the intuitive mind. This stone has been used for centuries to connect to the power of the moon and the earth, bringing one into deeper harmony with the Great Mother, and to the cycles and seasons that govern our lives.
