Often described as “Emeralds by day, Rubies by night”, Alexandrite is a rare color-changing variety of the mineral Chrysoberyl. It appears to change color from pink, blue, purple and green under different light thanks to its traces of iron, chromium, and titanium. It is beautiful bluish green in daylight or fluorescent light, and brownish or purplish red in the incandescent light.
